Industry Connect is CISSA’s premier networking event, created to bring students face-to-face with leading technology organisations. It’s an evening of company showcases, career advice, and informal conversations that helps students explore pathways in tech while building genuine connections with industry professionals.

Catalyst is CISSA’s second-semester hackathon, designed as a shorter, high-energy sprint that encourages teams to rapidly prototype innovative ideas. The focus is on collaboration and execution, giving students a chance to test their skills, learn under pressure, and bring their concepts to life in just a weekend.

Design Blitz is an intensive UX/UI design challenge where participants work in teams to tackle user-experience problems from scratch. Over a few days, students move through research, ideation, and prototyping, honing their design thinking skills while creating polished, high-impact solutions.

Product-thon blends elements of a hackathon with product strategy, inviting students to not just build but also validate ideas. Teams focus on defining problems, exploring user needs, and shaping viable product concepts, culminating in pitches that showcase both creativity and real-world impact.

EOX is CISSA’s long-running social tradition that marks the end of semester with a big celebration. It’s a chance for students to relax, reconnect, and celebrate together after exams, with music, socialising, and plenty of good vibes to close out the study period.

DiversiTEA is CISSA’s inclusive community event that fosters connection over a casual cup of coffee (or tea). It provides a welcoming space for students from all backgrounds to meet, share stories, and celebrate diversity within the tech community in a relaxed, supportive environment.
